these old wires don’t need shit to cause a campfire
sit beside the lamplight and conspire
these old thoughts can creep in and lay the haywire
journal all the ways you are tired
light up turning in
lay down in sin
insinuate the real thing
insist upon the real things
these old nerves can belittle your belonging
no one’s really strong anyway
these old friends know the way to keep the fire bright
burn away the chords till you’re right

Got this record as a birthday gift from a bandmate and it coincided with the loss of my grandmother and a painful trip east to see to final arrangements. It provided both company and consolation during that difficult journey and thematically, is spot-on for this season of life. Can’t say enough good things about these guys. Creep Church

This is just one of those albums that are in the perfect place at the perfect time. If you described it to me, I probably wouldn't listen to it, so just go listen to it. Seriously. You'll be glad you did. Morgan LaVigne
